Together with mountaineers David Göttler and Mike Arnold, the three will attempt to climb the world’s largest wall (4,500 metres) of one of the highest mountains on the planet (8,126 metres) between 10 and 20 January. Hervé Barmasse will attempt the winter ascent of Nanga Parbat, aiming directly at the summit of Rupal.
